Day 2
Eliminate Tension

Day 2 Overview:

The biggest challenge when it comes to eliminating tension is simply being aware of it. Many athletes recognise they don’t feel ‘smooth’ or ‘relaxed’ when they’re fatigued or under stress, but have trouble pin pointing exactly why that is. Yesterday, we took the first step in correcting this by simply paying attention to your own personal tension points. Today we’re going to focus on 3 things when we recognise tension creeping into our running movement:

Simple Step to Eliminate Tension

Our first step is to locate where YOU store tension. We’re going to use todays session focus to develop clarity on where and when you begin to store tension. Here’s how we’re going to do it:

  1. Recognise when we’re becoming tense

  2. Using breath to alleviate tension

  3. Activate cue to regain rhythm
